first bike ride back in the country. to the library and back. 9 miles. my timing was dismal. too many hills and not enough air here.

i cycled 28 miles in under 2 hours today. that includes the stops i made to take photos (such as this one_=), because it’s really pretty where i go ride.

i also think i just wiped a dead bug out of my eye. disgusting.

21 miles in 1h15m. i’m getting faster. and i’m faster than my little brother and his fancy aluminum bike. (mine’s from the 70s and is steel or whatever bikes were made of then. my tires were also a bit flat and i was still faster than him.)

33 miles today. the map shows more, but google maps doesn’t let you take a break in your directions. oh well. it’s about 6 miles more than i thought i did.

i also have a sweet new light (a niterider minewt 150) so i can see when i bike in the dark! solid, since i have to bike to work tomorrow at 5 am.

28 miles today. my actual round trip to & fro work will be a little bit less, since google suggests a route that doesn’t exist and i rode in some circles.

43 miles biked today.

the last 14, i was raging down the bike path passingeveryone. all in jeans and a t-shirt.

rob also pointed out that since i don’t have clip-ins, i’m working a bit harder than all the cyclists who do have ‘em, bc they also get some momentum/force with the up-pull too. and now, why cyclists use clip-ins makes sense to me.
